Sony A7 mark III + SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II Art Sony E-mount
This bundle includes the Sony A7 mark III camera and the SIGMA 24-70mm f/2.8 lens.
Sony Alpha A7 III Body (E-Mount)
The full-frame Sony Alpha A7 III camera features a back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor with a resolution of 24.2 MP and high ISO performance. The camera delivers high-quality 4K video quality, a wide dynamic range of up to 15 stops at low ISO sensitivity and excellent resolution with noise reduction. The A7 III offers fast shooting with up to 10 fps in combination with no less than 693 phase detection AF points covering 93% of the image, as well as 425 contrast AF points. Thanks to these features and the compact housing, the A7 III is a versatile and accessible tool for all types of photographers, ranging from hobbyists to professionals.
The full-frame 24.2 MP Exmor R CMOS image sensor is paired with a new, improved BIONZ X processing sensor and a front-end LSI that maximizes overall performance. This results in a 1.8 times faster processing speed than the Alpha A7 II. These powerful components work together to enable the camera to shoot at higher speeds and at the same time an impressive ISO range of 100 - 51200 (expandable to ISO 50 - 204800 for still images) and a 1.5-stop improvement of image quality possible. The camera has a wide dynamic range of up to 15 stops at low sensitivity. In addition, various innovations have been applied for a more accurate color reproduction of skin tones.
AF response and tracking speed are greatly improved compared to the predecessor: almost twice the focus speed in low-light conditions and 2x tracking speed. This results in a reliable focusing system with excellent precision and accuracy. The acclaimed Eye AF function is also available in this new camera (also in AF-C mode).
The updated image processor of the Alpha 7 III enables 24.2 MP in 10 fps shooting and is equipped with precise AF/AE tracking for up to 177 JPEG/RAW images or 89 uncompressed RAW images. This super-fast 10 fps mode is available with a mechanical shutter or completely silent recording. The camera can also record continuously at up to 8 fps in Live View mode with minimal delay in the viewfinder or on the LCD screen. These super-fast options allow even fast-moving subjects and volatile moments to be captured accurately and in detail.
High-quality 4K video quality
The Alpha 7 III is ideal as a video camera and offers 4K video recordings (3840 x 2160 pixels) over the full width of the full-frame image sensor. For recordings in Super 35 mm the camera uses readout of each pixel without pixel binding resulting in 2.4x the data for 4K images. The camera can oversample this - producing high-quality 4K footage with exceptional detail and depth. The new HLG image profile (Hybrid Log-Gamma) on the Alpha 7 III supports a direct HDR workflow, allowing HDR (HLG) -compatible TVs to play lifelike 4K HDR images. Furthermore, both S-Log2 and S-Log3 are available for more color gradation. The camera can also record Full HD at 120 fps with a maximum of 100 Mbps, allowing the footage to be edited in 4x or 5x slow-motion video files in Full HD resolution with AF tracking.
XGA OLED Tru-Finder
The Alpha 7 III features XGA OLED Tru-Finder with high resolution and high contrast with around 2.3 million dots for a highly accurate, lifelike reproduction of details. The image quality settings 'Standard' and 'High' are also available for both the viewfinder and the monitor. Seamless file transfer to a smartphone, tablet, computer or ftp-server via Wi-Fi is also possible, just like the use of the SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.1 Gen 1) Type-C connection for extra flexibility in terms of power supply and higher transfer speed as the camera is connected.
SIGMA 24-70mm F/2.8 DG DN II Art Sony E-mount
The SIGMA 24-70mm F/2.8 DG DN II Art is a true classic in a completely new look. As the lens features both a wide angle and short telephoto zoom range, it is ideal for capturing landscapes, portraits and your travels. The constant Aperture of F/2.8 ensures that you can use the lens in darker conditions too. This means you can also use it to shoot reportage or events. It is a true all-rounder!
The SIGMA 24-70mm F/2.8 DG DN II is extremely compact and fast, giving the lens outstanding optical performance. The 24-70mm F/2.8 boasts a wide range of updated features and advanced technologies, allowing you to get the most out of your photography. For example, the High-responsive Linear Actuator (HLA) makes the lens three times faster at focusing compared to its predecessor. Of course, Autofocus is not only fast, but also extremely precise and quiet. This also allows you to use the lens for Videography with minimal focus breathing.
With the addition of an aperture ring and two AFL buttons, functionality has been greatly improved. You can assign functions to the AFL buttons yourself, allowing you to adjust the lens to your own needs. A conscious decision was made to place an AFL button at the top, so you can easily operate it in portrait mode. The lens is also perfect for shooting close-ups. With a minimum focusing distance of just 17 centimetres and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.7, you can bring even the smallest details into focus big time.
A true flagship among Lenses, the SIGMA 24-70mm lives up to its name through its optical performance. Finished with both a nano and super multilayer coating, the lens consists of 6 FLD, 2 SLD and 5 aspherical glass elements. This effectively reduces various aberrations, ghosting, lens flare and sagittal comaflare. This ensures high-contrast images free of colour casts in all conceivable light situations, including extreme backlight.
Its compact size and robust construction mean you can take the lens anywhere. At just 745g, for example, the lens weighs a whopping 10% less than its predecessor. The body consists mainly of plastic and boasts excellent build quality. In addition, the lens is dust- and splashproof, so you can continue to fully rely on the SIGMA 24-70mm F/2.8 DG DN II even during rough (weather) conditions.
